I sent this card to my dad on Father's Day after not speaking to him for years. He called me to ask where in the **** I got such a perfect card! Then we cried on the phone for an hour and now I'm making plans to go see him and eat crabs and drink beer and sing again with him out on his screen porch in the tiny backyard of a Baltimore rowhouse. So warning if you are in Baltimore this summer, and you hear acoustic Elvis at an ungodly hour, chances are it's me and my ***** dad trying to form a new relationship...thanks to the icebreaker of this awesome little card...
As a grad student in a mental health counseling program, I give my dad a pretty hard time about his (at this point) comical avoidance of emotional conversations. This card was perfect! He appreciated being understood, while also poking just a scooch of fun from his very loving daughter :)
